Montenegro is located in South Eastern Europe. It is bordered by Adriatic Sea, Croatia, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Serbia and Albania. Podgorica is the largest city in Montenegro and is the capital as well. Cetinje ahs been designated as the old royal capital. It ws declared independent in 2006. It is a member of the United Nations and the Council of Europe.

The culture of Montenegro has various influences according to history. There are many cultural and historical sites in Montenegro which hold significance. These include the heritage sites from pre Gothic, Romanic and Baroque periods. The Cathedral of Saint Tryphon, Basilica of Saint Luke, Our lady of the Rocks and Savina Monastery are located on the coast of Montenegro. Oro is the traditional folk dance of Montenegro. About 10 centuries ago the literary works of Montenegro were written which came into print around 500 years ago.

The economy of Montenegro saw rapid growth under Milo Dukanovic. He introduced the German Mark which was used to curb inflation. He was responsible for creating the loose union of Serbia and Montenegro in which his state took the economic responsibilities. Also, fast and efficient privatization was implemented along with introduction of VAT, passing of laws of reform, and usage of Euro as the legal tender of Montenegro.
