Sweden is a Nordic country located in the Scandinavian Peninsula in Northern Europe. The country spans an area of 449,964 sq km which makes it the third largest country in Western Europe. Except in the metros, the country has a low population density; about 84% of the people live in the metros which make up only 1.3% of the total land area. The country is neighbored by Norway to the west, Finland to the east and Denmark to the southwest. The country features a landscape that is characterized by plains and low lying areas.

The culture expectedly is predominantly Scandinavian with plenty of Viking influences. The people of Sweden are known for dynamic and global outlook. Sweden features a rich musical tradition which varies from folk ballad to rock. The commonly used instrument is the ‘lur’ which is a type of trumpet. Sweden has a significant folk music scene which blends in traditional style with modern influences of rock and jazz. An interesting type of folk music known as Saami music which is actually a chant is also very popular in Sweden.

Sweden’s economy features a modern distribution system, skilled labor force and excellent internal and external communication. The economy is mainly export driven. Sweden has an excellent engineering sector which accounts for 50% of the output and exports. Sweden is often described as having the best of business creativity in Europe and is predicted to become a talent pool of world’s most skillful workers.
